Meditation Training

‘You should sit in meditation for twenty minutes every day – unless you’re too busy. Then you should sit for an hour.’

– Zen proverb

Calm within

Meditation is a powerful practice based in science and philosophy.

It helps to relieve stress, insomnia and pain. It encourages feelings of self-worth and happiness.

Through training together, we can:

  • tailor the most beneficial meditation experiences for you (note - it might not be stillness!)

  • turn meditation and mindfulness into a lifelong, manageable practice that’s easy to include in everyday life

  • go deeper into your practice through either individual coaching or group courses.

The Benefits of Meditation

Meditation helps you to navigate a life of constant learning and change, and to live in every moment.

It’s healthy to keep asking: ‘Who am I?’ and ‘What is important to me?’ Meditation helps you to create space for this self exploration.

Meditation has many benefits.

  • Helps us to step away from our emotions and rewrite the story we tell ourselves.

  • Heals our nervous system.

  • Gives us increased confidence and clarity.

From there, we can express our truth.

  • ‘I had been experiencing tiredness and burn out and some health issues this last year when I reached out to Chantal for support. In our session, she guided me into deep full-body relaxation and then a state of restoration unlike anything I have ever experienced.’

  • ‘If you are feeling the call to meditation with Chantal, do it! She is fabulous. She is caring, knowledgeable, and creates a beautiful container in her sessions for a deep experience.’

    Laura Veselovsky

  • ‘‘Spending time meditating with Chantal is a perfect way to start or end the day. She is clearly interested in all of her students’ wellbeing and sharing what she loves and finds interesting about meditation. Chantal is able to hold space for everyone and her classes feel like a safe, warm hug (with afterglow). If you would like to try meditation or find the right person to meditate with, I would highly recommend Chantal.’

Meditation Made For You

Sitting still for a long time works for some, but it’s not best for every stress state we find ourselves in. We can explore meditation in other ways, like:

  • walking

  • dancing

  • shaking

  • chanting

  • yawning

  • laughing.

Your take-home practice could be just a few minutes or an hour a day. Even a series of moments of awareness can make a big difference.

No shame in resistance

Whatever the meditation method, you’ll find a deeper sense of self, clarity and balance.

But learning how to meditate isn’t as effortless as it looks.

It’s easy to feel sceptical, wondering why it’s so hard to switch off and relax.

After 20 years I still face these thoughts, and that’s the purpose of meditation: it helps us to return to the present moment, again and again.

The first step is to remove guilt and shame. Then, we acknowledge our resistance.
